Deleting your TOBY account

TOBY is a product of TinyCloud GmbH. This page explains how to delete the TOBY account you use in the TOBY app and at tobysite.com, and what happens to your data when you do.

How to request deletion

In the app or in your browser

  1. Sign in to TOBY.
  2. Open Settings → Profile.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Confirm in the dialog that appears.

Your account is locked immediately and you are signed out on every device.

If you cannot sign in

Write to [email protected] from the email address your account uses and ask us to delete it. We will confirm who you are and carry out the deletion for you.

What is deleted

  • your account and your profile;
  • your websites — they go offline immediately;
  • the photos, logos and other files you uploaded;
  • your conversations with the assistant, including the written transcripts of voice sessions (we never store audio recordings);
  • your settings;
  • your sign-in sessions on every device.

All of it is erased permanently after a 30-day recovery window, during which we can still restore the account if you deleted it by mistake. Ask us and we will erase it immediately instead, with no recovery window. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

What is kept, and for how long

Invoicing and accounting records: up to ten years. German commercial and tax law obliges us to keep them (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB) and we cannot shorten that period. They are retained for that purpose alone.

Websites that have other members. If you handed a website over to someone else, or another person is a member of it, that website and its files stay with them and do not go offline. Only your own access ends.

Domains registered through TOBY. If you want to keep or transfer a domain you registered through TOBY, write to [email protected] before you delete your account.

Your subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion; you are not billed again.
